Lawn and Turf Care Programs |
Let the grass be greener ON YOUR SIDE...
Seaside Landscaping has designed several levels of lawn care and fertilizer programs for your lawn. Why should you let your neighbor's lawn look better than yours. We offer fertilizer only programs utilizing either synthetic or natural (often referred to as "organic") fertilizers. We also offer full programs with weed and insect control, aeration, overseeding, lime and more. By taking soil samples, we can customize a program for your lawn based on the lab report.
We use a granular fertilizer that is mixed with seasonal blends of nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium and iron. Our application rates give your lawn a balanced feeding at each application to keep your lawn green and thick all season. SeaSide Landscaping uses high quality fertilizer that is used on many of the national and local parks, golf courses and commercial properties.
SeaSide Landscaping uses a method called IPM or Integrated Pest Management to design programs and procedures for your property to balance the needs of the landscaping with a maintenance and chemical program. The overall goal is to only use pesticides when necessary and balance control with mechanical and cultural alternatives.
Programs offered:
- Fertilizer Only Program:Four seasonal applications of synthetic or natural fertilizer only (based on your choice). Maintenance of minimum levels of key soil nutrients based on results from benchmark soil testing. This program does NOT contain weed or pest control products.
- Standard Care Program: Four seasonal applications of synthetic or natural fertilizer and applicable turf weed control. The minimum recommended for lawns in this area. All applications will include a seasonal blend of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium and Iron. Maintenance of minimum levels of key soil nutrients based on results from benchmark soil testing. Insect & Grub control may be added for additional application charges as needed.
- Enhanced Care Program:
- Six seasonal applications of fertilizer and applicable weed control using Premium Blends

Fertilizing FAQ's
WHEN DO I FERTILIZE? Fertilize right after an aeration or dethatching in the spring and fall, also fertilize a couple of times in the summer months and right before winter sets in. Fertilizing 4-6 times per year at a rate of 3/4 to 1 pound of Nitrogen per 1000 square feet of lawn per application is recommended for most lawns in our area. Soil Testing can provide an individual analysis of the needs of your specific lawn. A fertilizer mixture with iron will give your lawn a darker green color. A winterizing application with lime will set your lawn up to green up quicker in spring and be better prepared for the dormant winter period.
DO I NEED TO WATER BEFORE OR AFTER A FERTILIZER TREATMENT? There is no need to water prior to one of our fertilizer treatments, unless you are having the lawn aerated. When you have your lawn aerated, you need to water before the service to maximize the effectiveness, but fertilizer treatments require watering after the treatment. You will need to water your fertilizer in within a couple of days of the application and continue to water regularly each week for best results. If you’ve had your weeds sprayed, you will want to wait 24 hours before you water to let the weed killer set on the leaves of the weeds and soak in as long as possible.
